Patching

I restored a rug from a luxurious hotel called The Cloisters in Sea Island. Patching is the most economical way to fix a damage area on a rug, whereas reweaving will cost much more. Some of the designs and colors may not match when patching a rug, but it will fix the damage and will prevent the damage area from getting bigger.
